What is a Stuck Pixel?

A stuck pixel is a pixel on your screen that remains fixed on a single color (red, green, blue, or white) instead of changing normally. Unlike dead pixels, stuck pixels are still receiving power but are "stuck" displaying one color. They can often be fixed using rapid color changes.

How long does it take to fix a stuck pixel?

The time it takes to fix a stuck pixel can vary. In many cases, it can be resolved within a few minutes using the right techniques. However, some stubborn pixels may take longer or may not respond to fixes at all.

How to Detect a Dead vs Stuck Pixel?

A dead pixel appears as a black dot and never lights up, meaning it's not receiving power at all. A stuck pixel shows a constant bright color (red, green, blue, or white). To detect them, display different solid colors on your screen—dead pixels stay black, while stuck pixels maintain their fixed color.

What Else Can You Do Besides This App?

You can try applying gentle pressure with a soft cloth on the stuck pixel area while the screen is off, then turning it back on. Alternatively, use commercial pixel-fixing software that rapidly cycles colors. If nothing works, check your warranty—some manufacturers replace screens with stuck pixels.
